Sister Marina taught at Fulham in the 1960s. She is now "retiring" to Birmingham...(although as we well know the Sisters never retire.)
BLESSINGS AS YOU GO! Sister Marina has lived and ministered in Walsingham at three different times in her life. Once again it is time to move on. As her two com...munity companions say: "You will be very much missed by the Parish, the Shrine, the Neighbourhood and the Community." We've been a bit quiet these past few weeks - as we grapple with the new world order that is the Corona Virus. For many of us, depending on the country that we now live in, that means Lockdown, Stay-in-place, Quarantines, Testing etc. And then there are some countries that have as yet to impose isolation orders. It goes without saying that we want you all to stay safe, especially during the next 90 or so days, until we're given the all clear, as we globally try to flatten t...he curve on the spread of this terrifying virus. If any of you are still going outside on errands, try to minimize this as much as possible and remember to practise social distancing by maintaining a distance of at least 2 meters, or 6 feet, from another person. When coughing or sneezing cover your mouth with a flexed elbow or tissue and throw the tissue away immediately. Remember to wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds as often as you can during the day, or use alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Avoid close contact with anyone who has a fever. Contact your GP or Health Service as soon as possible if you believe you may have a high temperature, or are experiencing shortness of breath. Let us know know how you and your families are all doing and coping at home, and in your cities and towns. If you're in lockdown and going stir crazy, reach out to us. We want to hear from you. Finally, to those of you who may be health workers or first-responders in the front lines helping others to survive this virus we thank you for your selfless and untiring help and courage. With love, Your extended Marist Convent Family.

Wishing everyone - wherever in the world you may be - a Happy, healthy and peaceful New Year (and Decade)!
1 January 2020: In his message for this 53rd World Day of PEACE, our Father Francis uses the image of JOURNEY. He concludes asking God's blessing and Mary's clo...se accompaniment on this journey, praying: "May all men and women who come into this world experience a life of peace and develop fully the promise of life and love dwelling in their heart." November is the month when we remember in a particular way our loved ones who have departed this earthly life. We give thanks for our Sisters who have died in the past 12 months. Dear Sisters, we believe you are now in the presence of God and we are counting on you to intercede for us.
