IMPORTANT UPDATE: In light of the current Coronavirus crisis, we are pleased to be able to reassure all our clients that we are fully prepared to continue providing our services. Our systems are cloud based and for the last two weeks we have been ensuring that all our staff are able to operate from home. We have had a tried and tested business continuity plan in place for many years and it is now fully deployed. From Wednesday 18 March most of our staff will be based at home.... Because the courts and tribunals remain open, so do we for all clients who need to attend hearings. We will continue to review that daily and, of course, we will act in accordance with ongoing Government advice. For the moment, if our clients need to attend courts and tribunals, we will provide full representation and support. Of course, we expect that some of our staff will be unavailable, primarily as a result of self-isolation, and we have procedures in place to provide cover when required. You may find that there will be minor changes to our standard facilities. For example, we may offer phone and online consultations in place of face-to-face meetings. However, our staff are ready to provide you with full support and representation. How to contact us You can continue to contact us during our normal working hours (9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday) on our main number which is 0151 239 1000. You can also contact us at our main email address which is [email protected] Most staff will also be contactable on their direct dial numbers and direct emails which you can find in this link. #Coronavirus #COVID19 #Solicitors #Legal #Liverpool

Here are the "Very High" local COVID guidelines: In addition to the medium and high guidelines, as a baseline (to which local authorities may implement additional measures): - Pubs and bars must close, and [but] can only remain open where they operate as if they were a restaurant - which means serving substantial meals, like a main lunchtime or evening meal. They may only serve alcohol as part of such a meal.... - Wedding receptions are not allowed. - People must not meet with anyone outside their household or support bubble in any indoor or outdoor setting, whether at home or in a public space. The Rule of Six applies in open public spaces like parks and beaches. - People should "try to avoid" travelling outside the Very High area, other than for things like work, education, accessing youth services, to meet caring responsibilities or if they are in transit. - People should avoid staying overnight in another part of the UK if they are resident in a Very High area, or avoid staying overnight in a Very High area if they are resident elsewhere. - Updated guidance will be issued for those who are clinically extremely vulnerable. It will be very interesting to see how this works out in practice, particularly the "pub operating as a restaurant" option.
