A relationship app is a good idea but it won't ever prevent people getting divorced, as what you feel now may not be what you feel in the future. Love is not a logical state. Individuals change and become different people down the line. Getting married in your 30's helps with making a better decision and having a wider appreciation about what makes relationships work. Even then there is always going to be a risk that things don't work out. That's life! Need some effective but friendly legal advice? 01483 302000 [email protected]

Will 2021 see a surge in divorce applications? Like many other areas it is very difficult to forecast where we are likely to be on this as we go into 2021. It has been apparent that quite a few people are not taking things forward over concerns to do with the ability to find alternative accommodation and the risk of finding themselves in a lockdown situation after they have expressed an intention to separate. However if the situation relaxes or changes then perhaps we will see a surge in new enquires. If you need some legal advice or to speak to someone about your options call 01483 302000 or email [email protected] https://www.todaysfamilylawyer.co.uk//will-2021-see-a-sur/

There are a number of articles in the press currently talking about the possible consequences of a second national or local lockdown on relationships and marriages. At rhw we take the view that many couples will have learnt from the experience of the first lockdown. They will have started adopting different ways of interacting and will be giving each other the space to avoid the flash-points that can occur in continued close proximity. We don't see the threat of continued l...ockdowns as quite the potential calamity for personal relationships that others do. However, if you are faced with a relationship issue that you do need some legal advice on, act sooner rather than later. Get the legal advice you need and deserve. We touched on the area of adultery back in 2017. A lot of people think they know what adultery is. Many of them are wrong. There is now a push for equality from those in same-sex relationships to have adultery added to the reasons for divorce in same-sex marriages. That is, of course, to be applauded but there are other routes to achieve the same result that can avoid the potential quagmire of trying to prove adultery. Read on and understand what adultery really is and how y...ou can find potentially quicker ways to divorce. Need legal advice? There is some excellent advice in this article (or rather interesting lager advertising exercise!) for managing relationships inside the confines of a lockdown but also on how to make relationships work at any time. We like the positive tone to the article overall, eventhough it's a glorified advert! Quite a few people who contact us are at a bit of a crossroads in their lives. They want someone who is knowledgeable and experienced to discuss their situation with. Many of the...se enquiries end after that first chat. We have given them information and advice that allows someone to approach their relationship in a different light and, hopefully, manage to find a way to address their problems. Sometimes that advice just confirms what they have been trying to ignore for a long time. Then we can help get their lives back on track as swiftly as possible. If you are not sure what your options are or you need to start a conversation to find out which road you need to go down, contact rhw's friendly family team. call: 01483 302000 email: [email protected]
New Blog Update from Richard Middlehurst in rhw's Family Law Team. The details of an unusual legal case have come to light this week. We don't really see a conflict in this story. Depending on how your relationship/marriage is structured will, to an extent, lead to how it survives a lockdown situation. If some marriages are thriving then that is excellent news for all parties involved. Here at rhw we have seen a big increase in enquiries about divorce over the summer and autumn. It's more than possible the lockdown has just exposed the fault-lines that were already there but 2020 has been fairly extraordina...ry and has forced change on all of us. The important thing is that if you need some advice, please do make contact and find out what your options are. If you are not at that stage or uncomfortable with doing that, then please speak to a friend or colleague. What you really do want to avoid is not speaking to anyone about what is troubling you. That route will resolve absolutely nothing. All a bit trivial but what is also a surprise here is the terrible quality of the article itself. I don't think anyone has actually proof read it before publishing it. Would anyone really be surprised that Princess Diana got a bigger payoff that Sarah Ferguson? Quite! https://www.mirror.co.uk//princess-diana-sarah-fergusons-s
