Fly Strike is an ever present threat throughout the summer months. The warm humid weather, rain and flush of fresh grass provide a perfect environment for it to strike! We have seen a number of cases already this year. Sheep most commonly get affected around tails and between feet but it can occur anywhere and in any species. We have seen it in Alpacas and new born calves navel’s as well as on horses legs. Please remember to check livestock at least once daily and regularl...y use fly repellents with proven long lasting efficacy. Call us if you need advice on which products might work best for you and to talk about the best options for your flock's fly control. See more

Changes to testing - gamma testing in new herd breakdowns in cull areas and antibody testing in the future. 4. Increased biosecurity measures - TBAS is an example of this!!!
