Rally Islas Canaries Great feeling to get back to a proper event even though we didn’t have a clean sheet of finishers we all gained valuable experience for the future Well done to Jason Mitchell & Peter Ward on finishing a very tough event with no dramas... This is only Jason’s second ever road rally Gareth Sayers & Liam McIntyre was the only other finishers even after an off road excursion Cathan McCourt & Barry McNulty had to retire due to a turbo issue Marty McCormack & Barney Mitchell was having an amazing drive in the BDA Escort until the altitude got too much for the car and it developed a misfire But it wasn’t all bad as our involvement with M-Sport Works driver Adrien Fourmaux ended up with an overall win so we are very pleased about that! Wishing everyone a Happy New Year, 2019 has been a great year with 2020 already looking to be very busy. Special thanks must go to all the lads who make it all happen.

Top 25 Irish Rally Drivers of 2019 Each day, in the lead up to Christmas, I’m counting down who I believe have been the best 25 irish rally drivers of 2019. It ...purely subjective, many will disagree, in fact can’t imagine any will actually agree. Number 15 Ryan Loughran Ryan is to be seen at up to 40 rallies per season. However, the majority of the time, it’s his work overalls and not his race overalls he’s wearing. As part of the highly professional NPL Rally Hire & Preparation business with Noel Patrick Loughran his father, there’s not much time for the stages. Only four starts in 2019 but as always, massive performances each time. His first event was the Maiden City stages back in April where he finished 5th overall and only missed out on 3rd by 8 seconds. In Carlow he recorded his first ever overall win after a close battle with the Darrians of James Stafford and Ian Barrett, and the similar Escort of Damien Toner. Donegal is always seen as the biggest Modified event of the year and 2019 was no different. Probably the hottest lineup of 2wd cars ever assembled. When the event was stopped, Ryan was top of the timesheets and drove the rally of his life. Although unable to celebrate this huge win, the history books will always have his name in first place. I predict 2020 being more of the same. The business will take priority but we’ll look forward to those rare occasions when its the race suit that is on.

Some great results over the weekend with 4 cars competing in Killarney rally of the lakes, 1 car at the granite stages in leuchars and 3 cars at the May Day rally yesterday

Johno Doogan and Ciaran Marron putting our latest spec 2.5 KGP YB hire car through its paces for the first time yesterday. This car uses one of the new Higgins car dismantlers shells and is the first to compete on Irish tarmac. Unfortunately altonater failure ended there strong performance on the very last stage

Both 2.5 KGP YB cars ready for Monaghan stages this weekend, Johno Doogan will debut our latest car with Jf Shovelin back out in the other car for round 3 of his national championship campaign

Another busy weekend with both Cathan and Conor McCourt competing in the Moonraker forestry rally and Willie Patterson using our 2.5 KGP YB car at the Memorial Garden stages over In Scotland, 6th rally in 7 weeks for this car. Massive well done to Cathan and Barry on their first overall win

What a weekend, one we won’t forget for a long time. Well done to all our crews in West cork with some great results. A privilege to have Mikko Hirvonen join the team this weekend and take home the national win, hard luck to Gary Kiernan with another engine failure. It was shaping up to be a great battle to the end. A special mention must go to Barry Mckenna and Leon Jordan on taking their first win in the American championship, I know how hard these guys have been trying for this. Next stop Finland
