Unfortunately The Tipsy Bird will not be opening ahead of Christmas due to the enforced regulations for wet pubs. We are sure this will disappoint many of you (as it has us) but sadly this is the situation we’re faced with. Thank you for your continued support and we will see you all in 2021... The unbelievably talented Alice La filmed a few songs in our beautiful bar. A songbird in the Tipsy Bird. Who would’ve thought we’d see the day?... If you grab a cocktail, put in on the big screen and turn it up loud you can almost imagine being here (it’s not even nearly the same, we know). We’re once again saddened by the Executive’s announcements today. We can’t find the words to be honest. Today is World Mental Health Day To all our hospitality family and friends, we know it’s tough at the moment. Beyond tough really. But please, be kind to your mind. It has been a disappointing day. Due to the Executive’s announcement today of new regulations the Tipsy Bird WILL NOT be opening this Friday the 2nd of October. We were already going to have to work at a severely reduced capacity (which is understandable but not easy in the hospitality sector). ... Now live music is not permittied and last orders have to be at 10.30pm with customers to be off the premises by 11pm. We just can’t make it work, and we really really want to. We will review this situation on the 1st of November with the hopes of reopening then. We would like to once again thank all our loyal customers, we miss you. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Or in this case on the wall. The Tipsy Bird will (hopefully) open on Friday the 2nd of October in line with the Executive’s new date We unfortunately will not be taking bookings at present due to our reduced operating capacity. Usually this is our motto. Through and through. But we have to admit, today we’re not feeling so hooked on it. We were ready to open our venue at the start of September in line with the Executive’s regulations. However, due to an announcement which was made a few days ago on the 26th of August it appears we will not be opening until the forseeable future. We are deemed a ‘Wet Bar’ as we do not serve substantial food nor do we have a large outdoor space at the venue. W...e will therefore have to remain closed. We understand but that doesn’t mean we’re not disappointed. Team Tipsy were ready to get back to our lovely customers and shake up some of our beautiful new cocktails from the summer series It appears that won’t be happening for a while. We just want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support. We have a Friday treat - the fifth addition to our summer series cocktail menu And we just know you’re going to love this one. Here we have the ‘Coconut Mai Tai’ ... We’ve put a little twist on a traditional Mai Tai for all our lovely Tipsy Birds, however it’s not for the faint hearted. This beauty is made with Coconut Rum, Kraken, Triple Sec, Velvet Falernum, Pineapple Juice and Orgeat. And to finish off we’ve garnished with a little desiccated coconut. Well, it appears we’ve hit another setback Team Tipsy had been busy preparing to reopen but it seems we’ll have to wait a little longer to remain in line with government regulations. We will continue to stay safe, patient and in the meantime we will share some more snippets of our new cocktails.... What was initially a spring menu, and then a summer may actually be an Autumn cocktail series.
